Our violin teacher has invited my sister Viviana and I to participate in this benefit concert, but I will not be playing because I am very busy. Nevertheless, Viviana will be participating, and I hope you will come!

A part of the Toronto City Mission is offering an after school program to keep kids off the streets. At this program the kids will learn, play, and make music.

Here’s my sister’s bio and picture:
Viviana Chan, who turned 12 in late August, has started her violin lessons 3 ½ years ago with Mrs. Norma Varkki, and is currently studying with Mr. Tak Kwan. Viviana has won multiple 1st place awards in music festivals. She also has numerous solo and ensemble performances. In Fall this year, she had 8 performances as the violinist in the trio band of the musical Emily, commissioned by the Lucy Maud Montgomery Society of Ontario. She is currently preparing for her coming Grade 8 Violin Examination at the Royal Conservatory of Music in January, 2018. Viviana has also won multiple awards for piano in various music festivals, and has passed Grade 8 Piano Examination at the Royal Conservatory of Music with first class honors this year. Besides music, Viviana enjoys skiing, Wing Chun, soccer, cooking, baking, drawing, and raising animals. She has won a Gold Medal this year at the annual Homeschool Track and Field, and came in 1st place at a 4H Sheep Showmanship class. Viviana is very thankful to God that she can live in the country with her parents, 7 siblings, and some farm animals.
